It shouldn't feel like a work routine.

Well, even if it does, I know it’s important for what I want to achieve, so I don’t mind.

Aw my friend it’s okay to take a day off xo xo Or several, or even a week xo

It's ok to miss a day, a week, or even a month. I think the mantra of consistently showing up can work, but when you just do it for consistency sake (or filler, as we call it in the news world), your audience can tell. Your numbers drop, and that can be demoralising. Which is why I now post consistently, but not strict on the days or timing, just focusing on good content and something worth sharing.

I thought about this too and decide not to force my usual content but just focus on writing about how I was feeling. I know I don’t want to make it HABIT of being okay with missed days and weeks. But I’ll keep this in mind.

You can beat yourself up because you missed a day, a week, or two… but one great post can change that, versus three average posts that you rushed out.

I might not be right according to the consistency gurus, but it’s a mantra I’m applying for now. 😅

Consistency is the key - you showed up

Yes I did and I really love that I did.

We may all agree that taking a break is fine, but I believe we all measure break worthiness and scale of things differently. This is why I think it is great that you showed up, a reminder of this truth. Wishing you a quick recovery!
